This is a motorcycle trailer that has been in my family for generations. Originally built around 1979 for motorcycle transport.
Recently I have reinvented it as a camping box trailer. The frame is in great shape, and I had the axle professionally rebuilt two years ago. All the wiring was redone with a new plug and wiring harness a few days ago. All new tires with three spares.
The box is 8 feet long by 4 feet wide and 4 feet tall, it was built from standard sheets of plywood, and weather proofed with deck furniture stain.
There is a barn door style door in the back with ample storage room for camping gear.
I put two hatches on both sides of the trailer with a shelf in the middle for my cooking station and food storage. And whatever else need easy access from the other side.
Above the trailer tongue, I built in a front hatch for tool storage with easy access while on the road.
I put a roof rack on top where I had my Tepui rooftop tent installed, unfortunately the tent did not weather a pacific northwest winter as well as the trailer did.
It has been a great little home away from home for me for quite a few years now. However I am moving cross country and it will not be joining me . I would love to find a new home for it, and hopefully many more adventures to come.
With all the work I have put into it recently I will be asking $2,000 OBO. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in seeing it in person. Cheers.
